MTS Receives Two State Third Frontier Awards

Mound Technical Solutions (MTS) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded an Ohio Third Frontier Fuel Cell Program grant of $490,040, and is a collaborator on a second project receiving an award.

The first grant will fund the continued development and expansion of capabilities for a new suite of fuel cell test instrumentation. Under the first phase awarded in 2005, MTS developed a comprehensive suite of fuel cell test products. These products measure electrical power output and various operational characteristics for the spectrum of fuel cell technologies: Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM), Solid Oxide (SOFC), Methanol, and Phosphoric Acid (PA), under various operating conditions. Standardized and accurate testing of the various fuel cell technologies has been a challenge for this emerging industry.
